Annually, on average, 70,000 visitors enter Tourism Red Deer’s Visitor Information Centre where they have access to member brochures and other travel information as well as 7-day per week assistance by our Information Counselors.

Destination Marketing

Members receive a reduced rate in any Tourism Red Deer publication.

  • Official Visitor Guide to Red Deer & Area: Annual magazine-style colour guide designed to attract visitors and is a resource of things to see and do and places to stay and play. It can also be viewed from our website, www.tourismreddeer.net, by clicking on our new interactive software, visitors will see how easy it is to learn about Red Deer & Area. Advertising in the Guide allows you to have a direct link from your ad to your website. We know how important it is to have a marketing presence on both the internet and traditional print. Distribution date is in January for a long shelf life. It has a distribution of 45,000 copies throughout Western Canada via visitor information centres, hotels, attractions, campgrounds, town offices, the AMA, CAA, airports, gobrochures.com and through Travel Alberta. Within the Visitor Guide: Red Deer Mini Map, Red Deer Trails Map.
  • City of Red Deer Official Street Map: Colourful, full-size, detailed street map of Red Deer and Central Alberta. It is widely used by residents, service providers and visitors.  Updated annually and has a distribution of 14,000.
  • Website - www.tourismreddeer.net - The website is accessed daily by hundreds of visitors. All Tourism Red Deer members are listed in the business directory with direct links to their websites.

Media Relations

Members are referred to media when requested to provide a list of contacts for a feature story. Assistance with news releases is also available.

Access to Information and Resources

Members have access to our large database, promotional materials and convention services. Tourism Red Deer is a resource for tourism information, statistics and research data.

Advocacy

Tourism Red Deer is a resource to the community, industry, government and other stakeholders, taking an active role and being an influential voice in matters that affect tourism.

Discover Red Deer & Area (National Tourism Week)

Opportunity for local business operators to showcase their tourism product and for the general public to be better informed of what to see and do in Red Deer and Area. Members receive a reduced rate on their display booth.

Tourism Red Deer presents a speaker series that is a great opportunity to listen to dynamic speakers and network with fellow industry partners.  Members receive a reduced admission rate.
