Official Red Deer & Area Visitors Guide

Annual magazine-style colour guide designed to attract visitors and is a resource of things to see and do and places to stay and play. This highly recognized marketing tool promotes amenities, accommodations, attractions, events, products and services. Guides are also used by residents, people planning a vacation, new and potential residents, convention delegates, and those attending sporting and cultural events.

  •      Distribution – throughout Western Canada and internationally via hotels/motels, attractions, shops and businesses, visitor centres, Chambers of Commerce, government offices, campgrounds, airports, bus depots, AMA, Travel Alberta and Tourism Red Deer. Official Red Deer Street Map

Colourful, full-size, detailed street map widely used by residents, service providers and visitors. The detailed street map is updated annually to show new residential, commercial and industrial areas. It includes a map of Central Alberta and provides general information regarding our beautiful community. A limited amount of high-profile space is available.

Wall Map

Tourism Red Deer has a large wall map on the south side of our building to assist visitors. We currently have a single sponsor committed to this initiative, but if you are interested in advertising on the sign, we will add your name to our waiting list. This is a great opportunity to advertise your business to over 70,000 people each year who visit our building.

Flat Screen TV and Promotional Videos

This flat screen TV is located in our Visitor Information Centre. This monitor plays promotional videos of Red Deer and area, highlighting events and attractions, which provides an opportunity for a business to advertise. In 2009 Tourism Red Deer’s Visitor Information Centre had over 77,000 people come through its doors with many of these travelers watching the video screen.

Discover Red Deer & Area – National Tourism Week/Red Deer & Area Attraction Coupon Publication

Annual trade-show style event for all tourism related organizations to promote their tourism operation. In conjunction with national tourism week this event is held in one of our local malls for maximum exposure to the public. Local residents are invited to learn about what there is to see and do right here in central Alberta. 10,000 copies of our Attraction and Event coupon book are printed and distributed to visitor information centres around Alberta. This consortium project helps the tourism operators to collaboratively work together and to cross promote their products and organizations. This 16 page full colored coupon book is an easy way to track your advertising dollars. Advertisers also receive a free booth at Discover Red Deer and Area.

Red Hat Awards

The Red Hat Awards honour customer service excellence and community involvement in the hospitality and tourism industry. Persons who deal with the public are ambassadors for our community and help promote tourism. There are ten different categories which recognize staff and encourage service excellence in the hospitality and tourism industry. There are many benefits to becoming a sponsor, or to support this initiative by purchasing tickets for the annual banquet and awards.

"Let’s Talk Tourism" Speaker Series Sponsorship

A dynamic speaker series is offered throughout the year with a variety of topics followed by networking with fellow industry partners. This is a perfect opportunity for your business to sponsor a venue or a guest speaker.

Highway 2 Message Signs

A changeable message sign on the north and south ends of the city on Highway 2. This is a highly visible plus effective and economical opportunity to promote your event to visitors and residents entering our community. Bookings on these signs are highly sought after and space is limited.
